Welcome back to season 3 of the Empowered 2 Advocate Podcast!

If you are tuning into this episode then you probably have a child that is returning to school this fall - and you might be having anxiety about where their IEP process was left in the spring or concerned about how extended school year went this summer.

Our biggest piece of advice is to try to not panic and reframe this as an opportunity for a "fresh start"

Back to school is a great time to get organized so all of your child's paperwork is at your finger tips (try our binder organization system HERE!), schedule an initial consult with us HERE, and/or schedule a comprehensive record review HERE!

This is also the perfect time to reach out to your child's team and introduce self, your child and open up the lines of communication with your child's team; which might be totally new this year! This is also a perfect time to request to meet with the team to get the ball rolling on any discussions that were left open in the spring. We have a blog just for you with sample language and sentence stems that you can use to write your email!

Happy Fall!
